Information you give us directly:

• Contact details — name, email address, and (for orders) shipping/billing address and phone number.
• Order information — what you bought, order value, and payment confirmation. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not see or store your full card number.
• Trader ID / account information — the email you verify to claim a Trader ID, plus any handle or customization you choose, stored securely in our systems.
• Newsletter and waitlist signups — the email address (and country, if given) you provide to hear when we launch, restock, or become available locally.
• Messages you send us — anything you include when you email, DM, or fill out a form.

Information we collect automatically when you use the site — "usage data" — such as your device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and how you got to us. We collect this with cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies" below), including analytics and advertising pixels.

Information from third parties — for example, from a crowdfunding platform (backer and reward/shipping details, so we can fulfill your pledge), from our payment processor (payment confirmation and fraud signals), and from shipping couriers (delivery status).

• To fulfill orders and pledges — process payment, ship your items, send order and shipping updates, and handle returns.
• To run Trader IDs and accounts — verify your email, let you claim and customize your ID, and deliver any founding-supporter perks we choose to offer.
• To communicate with you — answer questions and provide support.
• Marketing — with your consent where required, send you news, launches, and offers (you can opt out any time), and show you relevant ads on third-party platforms.
• Analytics and improvement — understand how the site is used so we can make it better.
• Security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance — protect the site and our customers, and meet our legal obligations.

Where the law (such as GDPR) requires a legal basis, we rely on: performing our contract with you (orders, Trader IDs), your consent (marketing, non-essential cookies), and our legitimate interests (running, securing, and improving the business).

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate Ruggiez, and only as needed — including a payment processor (to process payments and prevent fraud), hosting and infrastructure providers (to run the site and securely store data), an email service provider (to send order emails and newsletters), advertising and analytics providers (to measure ads and understand site usage), shipping and fulfillment partners (to deliver your orders), and a crowdfunding platform (to fulfill backer pledges and rewards). Each provider uses your data under its own privacy terms.

We may also disclose information to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, protect our rights and users' safety, or in connection with a business transfer such as a sale or merger.

Ruggiez is a US company and works with service providers that operate globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, which may have different data-protection laws. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required.

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, run analytics, and support advertising. Essential cookies are needed for the site to function; other cookies are optional. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and where required we will ask for your consent to non-essential cookies via a banner. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. If you are in the EU or UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising; we do not sell your personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above — to fulfill your orders, run your Trader ID, meet tax and legal obligations, and resolve disputes — then delete or anonymize it. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.

Our games are intended for players aged 12 and up, but our site and store are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that age). If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, and we work with established service providers who maintain their own security standards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — please keep any account or claim credentials safe.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with an updated date and, where required, take additional steps to notify you.
